About Me
I'm a former journalist turned ceramicist. My husband and I moved to the California desert in 2012 when our oldest was almost 1 year old, and I left my job at NPR. That's when I fell in love with pottery. I learned from potter Lois Hinman in Ridgecrest, Calif.
In 2015 I bought my first wheel. In 2016 I started selling on Etsy. I sold at my first market a few years later and started doing juried art markets in Los Angeles in 2019.
We're now living in Takoma Park, Md., and I'm selling at local fairs and farmers markets. I make functional high-quality ceramics for the modern home.
A little more about me: My husband and I have three boys who are middle and elementary school ages. You can find my writing bylines at NPR, The Washington Post, Forbes Magazine and Fodor's Travel Guide. I was an All-American collegiate soccer player (Division III). I'm an avid fiction reader and dream of writing a book someday.
